Data Privacy

This notice explains what happens to personal data collected through this website, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Who is responsible

The Directorate of Defence of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, B.P. 212, L-2012 Luxembourg, organiser of Q-DEF, acts as data controller.

What we collect

Browsing this website does not require an account and does not use advertising cookies. Personal data is collected only when you fill in one of our forms — registration, contact, exhibitor request or call for speakers: typically your name, professional details, email address and the content of your message.

To protect the forms against abuse, we also keep a one-way fingerprint of your IP address and your browser type. The IP address itself is not stored.

Why we use it

To process your request, to manage your participation in the event, and to contact you about it. Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Data related to an edition is kept for the time needed to organise it and to meet our legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction or its deletion, object to its processing, or ask for it to be transferred, through the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD) in Luxembourg.
